As a native of St.
Petersburg and a graduate of Seminole High School in 1991, Dr. Moss has
returned to the
St. Petersburg
area to join Bay Area Heart in 2008. After 17 years of schooling and
training in various regions of the United States,
Dr. Moss brings his knowledge and experience back to the Pinellas county
area.
Dr. Moss did his undergraduate work at Tulane
University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then pursued his medical
training in the
Midwest at
Des Moines
University in Iowa, from which he graduated in 2001. He remained in the
Midwest for postgraduate training as an intern at
Doctors Hospital in
Columbus, Ohio. He then moved on to the East Coast to complete an
additional 3 more years of Internal Medicine training at
Washington
Hospital Center and Georgetown University. Following this Dr. Moss
chose to go back to the
Midwest for his Cardiology Fellowship in
Chicago where he
received extensive clinical cardiology training in addition to multi
modality imaging training.
Dr. Moss stands among the few
cardiologists in the
Tampa
Bay area that have quadruple board certifications. These include the
American Board of Internal Medicine in the field of Internal Medicine
and in Cardiovascular Disease, Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology
and National Board of Echocardiography. He is a member of the American
College of Cardiology. His special interests are clinical cardiology and
diagnostic imaging, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and
CT Angiography. Dr. Moss also practices invasive cardiology including
cardiac catheterization and transesophageal echocardiography. Dr. Moss
currently serves as the Director of the Echocardiography Lab at
Northside Hospital and Tampa Bay Heart Institute.
Dr. Moss enjoys competitive tennis and
international travel. He enjoys spending time with his daughter
Alexandra and his wife who is a local physician specializing in Internal
Medicine and Geriatrics. |
