Bruce Rice, PA-C
Bruce
Rice brings to Bay Area Heart Center 30 years of experience as a Physician
Assistant. He is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of
Physician Assistants, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician
Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. After graduating
from the University of Nebraska Physician Assistant Program with high
distinction, he practiced as a surgical assistant at Barr Clinic in Nebraska
until 1978. He then joined Royal C. Johnson Hospital staff in Sioux Falls, South
Dakota delivering outpatient primary care and was responsible for the health
care needs of 250 nursing home residents. He subsequently joined the Oncology
Section at the hospital and assisted with research, diagnosis, staging and
therapy of malignancies. In 1990 he transferred to the Bay Pines Veterans
Administration Medical Center Cardiology Department where he supervised
the Pacemaker Clinic, coordinated the Heart Transplant Clinic and was
responsible for performing stress testing.
Bruce
joined Bay Area Heart Center in January 1995 performing stress testing,
pacemaker evaluations, and is key coordinator of the Bay Area Heart Center
Pacemaker Clinic. |
