Sol Fishman, M.D.

Dr. Sol Fishman has practiced Cardiology in the St. Petersburg area since 1984 and joined the Bay Area Heart Center in 1995. Dr. Fishman completed his undergraduate studies at Queens College in New York. He pursued his medical education at the University of Paris, France, where he resided for six years, and met his lovely wife. He is fluent in French.

Dr. Fishman continued his post graduate medical training in Internal Medicine at Nassau County Medical Center in New York where he completed his Internship and Residency, and then completed his Fellowship in Cardiology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Fishman is involved in noninvasive and interventional Cardiology. He performs cardiac catheterization as well as interventional techniques including coronary angioplasty, directional atherectomy, coronary stent placement, and rotational atherectomy. He also performs peripheral angioplasty and stent placement.

Dr. Fishman is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the fields of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and is a member of the Florida Medical Association and the Pinellas County Medical Society.
