Arterial Ultrasound

Description of this test: This is a noninvasive (nonsurgical) study used to evaluate the severity and location of narrowing or blockages in the arteries of the legs, and to determine the best treatment for such. We use a combination of ultrasound to look at the arteries and cuffs on the legs to measure pressures.

What to do to prepare for the test: Loose fitting comfortable shorts make performing the exam easier, but this is not a necessity. Women: NO pantyhose please. Please do not apply any creams, lotions or powders on the day of your test. Men: Please wear boxer shorts or briefs, but not boxer briefs as they interfere with the testing.
